Just Because You Can Doesn't Mean You Should

This time, I'm going to get right to the point. Just because you can do as a player, does not mean you should do it.

The 11 o'clock news last night when watching sports section, a journalist, some local professional football players who were making good use of your time while an agreement between the NFL owners and players waiting for about a story. These special players box jumps were at least 60 inches in height above the boxes that had to be.

The problem was that they were landing in the worst possible situation. They close their butts with their feet touching the back were landing. Flexed their knees were way too far, and their chests in front of their thighs were touching. They ligaments and tendons of the knee had put a tremendous amount of stress.

To the untrained eye, it is impressive to see. However, this type of training also shows the strength and conditioning is an art.

When any type of plyometric exercise is jumping, the first key to a proper destination. Taught before landing because when you have ever seen a player get hurt jumping into the air should be a? Now, how many times have you seen a player is hurt on the landing? Athletes in an athletic position to play defense as if, should land. Feet should be shoulder width apart on the chest should be long. There is a small landing shock absorbing knee action should be, but to eliminate the player should end up in a solid athletic stance. If the player is making it difficult to box, I promise you it does not mean that they will get better, but quite the opposite, they will risk more injuries.

That is why I participate in the camp sponsored by pro athletes do not care for the children. Athletes do not know what they're most of the time. They just trainer or coach tells them to do. If the trainer or strength coach fails to teach proper technique, but for their children will have that same bad information.

The above mentioned players of his team's success this season should be a very important part. I wish him all, I believe is best. However, my job is not to make athletes bigger, faster, stronger and more powerful. It also helps prevent injury to state how successful athletes in place to inform others.
